When you mention the word “vacation in Orlando” for the most people think of Disney World and other theme parks in Central Florida. Imagination and creative effort have been put in theme parks is incredible and has attracted visitors from around the world. However, the reality is sometimes as exciting as your imagination, and this is never more evident than at the Kennedy Space Center.

If you are visiting Orlando, then you should definitely put aside the time to visit the space center. Let me introduce some of the attractions that have made the Kennedy Space Center, a great success with visitors to Florida.

Expeditions to the Moon in 1970 represent a milestone for humanity and it is possible to have a first person view of the technology that made possible these flights in the center of Saturn 5. Here you can see a rocket on a large scale that measures over 360 meters high and weighs 6. 2 million pounds. Not only look at mammoth rocket, but can also take a simulated trip to the moon and get it all with a detailed presentation.

You can also go forward in the history of space travel in the first part of the history of space at the space center. The early Mercury and Gemini space capsules on display along with the control panel that mission controllers to guide the first space flight.

Almost everyone is fascinated by Earth’s neighbor, the red planet Mars, and a section on the 1976 Viking landings allows you to make a trip to Mars in a simulated visit to trace the route followed by the unmanned Viking lander. You can even touch a piece of Mars because of a meteorite that originated on Mars is also on the screen.

Have you ever wondered what it means to be an astronaut on a flight to the airport? If so, do not miss the launch of the Shuttle simulator. The whole room vibrates as the ferry takes off and when “to reach orbit” you get a view of the astronauts from Earth.

Speaking of astronauts, you can meet an astronaut on the Space Center. Throughout the year the astronauts of Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Shuttle eras meeting with visitors.

During the 50 years of space our astronauts and space probes have been the dramatic images of outer space. You can view the photos in spectacular fashion in IMAX 3D Theater, and have a clear idea of what it means to be an astronaut.
Not much to see at Kennedy Space Center and the best way to make sure we see everything, take a guided tour of the structure on a bus that stops at all the facilities of the Center. The first bus driving at 9:30 and not continuously throughout the day.

When you leave the center you can take a souvenir shop in space technology. You can choose from over 8,000 items of memorabilia of the space.

This is just a taste of what to expect at the space center, so be sure to visit this fun and educational attraction during their stay in Central Florida.
