Originally broadcast December 6th, 1990. This part includes clips with Jack Vance, Candas Jane Dorsey, George RR Martin, Candas Jane Dorsey (again), George RR Martin (again), Spider and Jeanne Robinson, Lewis Shiner, Jack Vance and Gregory Benford.
I watch it from Montreal religiously on cable (airing on TV Ontario), fantastic show! To this day every time I hear about Star Trek I remember Harlan Elison,s comment that it isn’t real sci fi “Star Trek is for people who watch it eating their little twinkies” or something like that lol,
I miss shows like these that gave insight into the minds of sci-fi/fantasy writers. The sci-fi channel used to be that way in the states in the mid ninties. now they have pro wrestling and peekaboo ghost hunter shows on, jeez.
Why people BELIEVE extra dimensions? They told for us: Two dimensions alien cant understund third dimension. We know that, even child know, there is no two dimensions alien, because if you take off one dimension, you dont have anything. So, why you say for us, two dimension alien cant understund third dimension? Do you say that, you understund two dimension alien? HAH HAH HAA. No way! There is no two dimension alien? Why you BELIEVE extra dimension?
