Verizon Foundation Announces Availability of $25,000 in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Education Grants

The Verizon Foundation is to help public schools, Rhode Island better prepare students to compete in the 21st century. Â In the midst of a greater focus on student achievement, the state schools are invited to apply for $ 25,000 grants for programs that use Thinkfinity.org Verizon Foundation to improve pupils’ skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

For the second consecutive year, the Foundation will provide scholarships of $ 5,000 each to five schools to integrate Thinkfinity.org, an online resource of education classroom.Â

Thinkfinity.org is the Verizon Foundation’s comprehensive online portal that offers more than 55,000 educational and literacy resources for teachers, parents and students. The resources are based on specific standards of quality K-12 teaching plans and interactive activities provided in cooperation with many countries, leading educational and literacy organizations.
